Mumbai Indians have roped in South African bowling all-rounder Corbin Bosch as a replacement for his compatriot Lizaad Williams, who will miss the upcoming IPL 2025 due to a knee injury. Williams had missed the SA20 in January this year with the same injury and hasn't recovered yet fully to turn out for the five-time champions in the IPL. He had been snapped up by MI for his base price of INR 75 Lakh.
Mumbai Indians sign Corbin Bosch to replace injured Lizaad Williams

Bosch, who had gone unsold during the mega auction, now joins a familiar setup after representing MI Cape Town in this year's SA20, returning 11 wickets in eight games, including figures of 4 for 19 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Bosch was also picked in the recent PSL Draft by Peshawar Zalmi for the 2025 season, which will run from April 11 to May 18, while the IPL season will go on from March 22 to May 25.
This will not be Bosch's first IPL gig. He was previously roped in by Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler before being signed on as a replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile. He however, hasn't got a game in the league as yet.
At the international level, Bosch made his Test debut in the Boxing Day fixture of 2024 against Pakistan in Centurion, just days after his 50-over bow against the same opposition in Johannesburg. He was also called up as the replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje in South Africa's squad for the Champions Trophy.
