Profile
A steady performer for Worcestershire, Joe Leach's commitment towards Worcestershire cause was rewarded with captaincy as the successor of Daryl Mitchell at the end of the 2016 season. A bowling all-rounder, Leach established himself in the Worcestershire first eleven with a series of consistent performances, right from his debut .

Having begun his career with minor counties, the right-arm fast bowler made his first-class debut for Leeds/Bradford MCCU in 2012. Having had a taste of the game at the lower levels, Leach worked his way up, first featuring for the Worcestershire second XI, before breaking into the main team. Accuracy was his major weapon and he claimed 59 wickets in 2015, the most by any Worcestershire bowler in the first division. Since then, Leach has become the go to bowler for Worcestershire and add his batting abilities - he has become a complete package.
