Profile
An attractive opening batsman, Malcom Prideaux, amassed over 25000 runs at the first-class level. His consistent scoring on the domestic level was rewarded with a Test debut against Australia in the fourth Ashes Test in 1968 at Headingley. Prideaux hit a polished 64 in the first innings but struggled to adjust to the tempo of international cricket. Unfortunately, his Test career was limited to just 3 matches.

However, he continued to shine on the domestic scene. Prideaux also played for Orange Free State in the early 1970s, and later emigrated to South Africa. Interestingly, his wife, Ruth, coached the England Women's Cricket team.
