Profile
A right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm spinner, Jack Iddon was a bulkwark for Lancashire. He amassed 20000-plus first-class runs to go with 551 wickets. However, he struggled to convert his domestic displays on the international scene. He played only 5 Tests with modest success to show for.
His left-arm spin was more effective on slow, low wickets. He passed away in a tragic road accident just before the start of the 1946 season.
