Profile
Born in Devon and educated at Kings's College in Taunton, Roger Twose migrated to New Zealand in 1991-92 in search of better opportunities. A string of consistent displays for Central districts in the domestic circuit was rewarded with a national cap on New Zealand's tour to India in 1995. The southpaw went on to play for Northern Districts and then Wellington.

While batting was his stronger suit, he was a decent medium pacer as well. Gradually, Twose established himself as a regular in the ODI team but failed to crack Test cricket. He appeared to be more comfortable in coloured clothing, attacking the opposition with some powerful hitting. He was a vital cog in the Kiwi machinery in the 1999 World Cup, scoring 318 runs at an average close to 80. He also shone in New Zealand's Champions Trophy winning campaign in 2000-01. Soon after, he retired from all forms of cricket to pursue a career in banking.
