Profile
Atse Buurman is a Dutch wicket-keeper batsman who made his debut for Netherlands in 2007 as a specialist batsman. But after the retirement of Jeroen Smits, has concentrated on keeping.

He once struck a fantastic 53 off 75 balls in 2006 against India A to save Netherlands from humiliation after they had been reduced to 10 for 3 in the EurAsia Series. Buurman has been playing cricket from a young age and was a part of the Under-15, -17, -19 and -23 sides, as well as the Netherlands A team, before he secured a spot in the senior national side.

Buurman made his ODI debut in July 2007 against Canada and made his T20I debut three years later in February 2010 against the same team. However, after the arrival of Wesley Barresi, who took over the wicket-keeping duties, Buurman has largely remained out of the limelight.
