Ziaur Rahman

Right-arm fast bowler Ziaur Rahman made his international debut during the 3-match T20I series against Ireland. In the T20 contest in Dehradun, Ziaur claimed two wickets as Afghanistan were defending a total in excess of 200 but Rahman was clearly under pressure and nervous on the field. He let the bowlers down on numerous occasions during the course of the match. Rahman also tripped on a couple of occasions while fielding near the boundary and gifted away a couple of fours to the Irish batsmen in the process.

There are other young bowlers emerging from Afghanistan, hence in order to cement his place in the side, Rahman has to work hard on his fitness and even harder on his fielding skills. In modern day, especially in the shortest format of the sport, each and every run counts.
