Profile
Jack Prestwidge is a relatively obscure name in the Australian circuit; however, the last name, 'Prestwidge', does ring a bell, doesn't it?

Brother of WBBL star Georgia Prestwidge and son of Queensland first-class player Scott Prestwidge, Jack grew up around a cricketing family and rose through the ranks in junior cricket, snaffling 154 wickets at a rather impressive average of 22.03. A useful lower-order batsman, he also scored 1405 runs at an average of 21.62 with a highest score of 82.

Picked out by talent scouts for his furious pace, often hitting a 150kmph, this native Queenslander was handed a Rookie contract by Queensland for the 2016/17 season. He was impressive in the U-23 league, and managed to make it to the rookie list of the Brisbane Heat after some impressive performances in grade cricket.

A big opportunity came knocking on his door when he received a last-minute call-up by the Brisbane Heat, replacing the injured Cameron Valente for the 7th edition of the Big Bash League. Prestwidge is a rather raw talent who needs to be nurtured for the highest level. Very little is known about him; however, he does have the essentials for a formidable hit-the-deck bowler: good height, a mean scrambled seam delivery, and express pace. He is endorsed by the Heat as the future spearhead of the side, and he definitely has a chance to prove them right in the 7th edition of the league.
