A talented left arm orthodox spinner from Kerala, KC Akshay made his first-class debut in 2017 against Jammu & Kashmir. Being only 21 on debut, Akshay impressed one and all with stunning match figures of (9/58). The youngster bagged four wickets in the first innings and bowled an even better spell in the second innings where he claimed a 5-wicket haul as Kerala won the Ranji Trophy contest in Thiruvananthapuram by a massive margin of 158 runs.
Another impressive bowling performance by Akshay came during the same season against Vidarbha where he bagged 9 wickets again but their team's poor batting effort resulted in a shambolic 412-run defeat for Kerala. KC Akshay is a part of Kerala's Ranji team even for season 2017-18 and looking at his contribution in 2017, he'll prove to be a pivotal member of the playing XI. It would be interesting to see the bowling performances he comes up with this season. He has showed a lot of promise in his short career so far but longevity is what he would be craving for.
