We are just halfway through the group stage. DC are on top of the table with six points, GG are at the bottom with just one win. The remaining three teams are currently on four points. That's it for today. Tune in tomorrow for Mumbai Indians Women vs UP Warriorz Women. Until then, goodbye...
Jonassen | Player of the Match: I loved it. Bit surprised by the opportunity, but I was happy to take it. I had a bit of luck early but that's part of the T20 game. Happy to be there at the end when Kappy hit the winning runs. We thought, with the spinners particularly, when you slowed the ball, it held a little bit bit. With the new ball, with the seamers, there was a little bit of swing early. So, it was a matter of playing with the shape or with the turn and trying to go straight as possible for as long as possible. My whole career, judged myself on my batting, nice that it was able to come off. Really pleased that I was able to get the job done for the team tonight. It's amazing, we've got almost all bases covered. The seamers bowled really well upfront. Marizanne Kapp - world-class and showed that again. Titas Sadhu coming in for her first game of the season and taking the big wicket. It's nice to have a lot of different options. Nice to know that in any certain situation, we have someone that can put their hand up and do the job for the team.

Lanning: A less stressful than the first couple of wins. We bounced back really nicely. Our bowlers set it up - Kappy and Shikha upfront there. We were able to take wickets upfront as well which makes it a little bit easier throughout the innings. Pretty happy tonight. There's been a a little bit for the bowlers. If you hit a good length, little bit nibble off the wicket, a little bit swing. Good contest throughout with bat and ball. You see batters still able to get going and dominate. But there's a bit there if you hit the right areas. It's about improving each game and tightening up those areas that perhaps you haven't quite been able to nail. In a tournament like this, you can get some momentum, you can get on a roll. So we need to keep winning. It's a pretty close tournament which is exciting. Certainly nice to turnaround tonight. (On Niki Prasad) She's someone I'd put in the hotspot now. Wherever the ball's got to go, she's got to be there. Certainly hasn't let us down so far. Very impressive. As a bowling group, if you put the ball in the right areas, there's a little bit there for you. Backing our skills in that regard. With the bat, putting in some partnerships. Feel like we have been improving all the time. It's nice when something comes off like that, JJ has shown everyone that she's really capable with the bat.
Shafali: It was difficult at the start. First three overs of the second inns. Was holding a bit, and there was shape as well. Wanted to stay till the end for the team. Unfortunately couldn't get to fifty but happy for the team. We have our own mindset (Lanning and her). Bowlers tell us how the pitch is behaving which is helpful. Even in the last match, their inputs were helpful. If it's a short boundary, I just have to go for it (laughs).
Gardner: If you look at Delhi Capitals' bowling line-up, they've got four international quicks. So, it was always going to be challenging throughout the powerplay. As soon as you lose three or four wickets in the powerplay, it makes it very hard to come back. They bowled exceptionally well and put us under pressure. It was a disappointing loss tonight. We didn't do a lot right with the bat. Looking at the way Dottin batted and then the way Bharti came out as well showed some promise. (On the partnership between Bharti Fulmali and Tanuja Kanwar) We know the potential that they have. They haven't had much of an opportunity so far in the tournament. To see those girls come out and put on a fifty-run partnership was fantastic to see and I am sure it's done their confidence a lot of good. That was a bit of a shock, to see Jonna walk out, she batted really well and struck the ball really well. For it's about adapting quickly. We've got some inexperienced bowlers amongst some experienced bowlers. It's about assessing the conditions early. I thought Kashvee bowled brilliantly. She's shown her class. There's nothing to be concerned about as such. In the last two games, we've lost bulk wickets in the powerplay. When you lose 3+ wickets in the powerplay, it makes your job really hard and puts a lot of pressure on the middle-order. We have a quick turnaround before RCB in two days time.
- Fourth win in five games for Delhi Capitals Women against Gujarat Giants Women.
22:34 Local Time, 17:04 GMT, 22:34 IST: Comprehensive win for Delhi Capitals and they go to the top of the table. This victory was set up by their bowlers. On a green trick. the seamers dominated proceedings to reduce the Gujarat Giants to 20/4 inside five overs. Things got worse with the departure of Gardner and Dottin as they slipped to 60/6. Bharti Fulmali, coming in at eight, scored a 29-ball 40 which helped the Giants post a score of 127. In reply, the Capitals lost Lanning cheaply. Jess Jonassen was promoted to three and that turned out to be an excellent move. The left-hander hit a flurry of boundaries to get going and she kept batting with the same tempo. Shafali Verma too was aggressive and the duo stitched a 74-run partnership which almost sealed the deal for DC. Jonassen notched up a 26-ball half-century and remained unbeaten till the end as her team hunted down the target with 4.5 overs to spare.
