Four wins on the trot now for Gujarat. Second at this venue. They are making Ahmedabad look like a fortress again. Rajasthan's two-win bubble has been burst today. It will be interesting to see how they respond from this big defeat. That's all for this game, we'll be back tomorrow for a top of the table clash between Bengaluru and Delhi. See you then, bye for now!
Sai Sudharsan | Player of the Match: IPL is the kind of tournament where you need the momentum from the start. Always a joy to contribute to team wins. The wicket was seaming a bit, so I took some time but knew we couldn't take a lot of time. Then I wanted to take the game deep. We wanted to have wickets for the death. We have the awareness if we lose early wickets that the set batter has to play long. I always try to see what I can do better, trying to improve my awareness and skill. I have worked a lot of basics which is helping me be a versatile batter.
Shubman Gill: Good total on the board, it wasn't easy in the first 3-4 overs. The way Sai and Buttler batted was amazing. We'll take 220 any day of the week. And then our fast bowlers were very clinical to finish off the job. If you have difficulty in choosing the man of the match, it is a good problem for us to have. We are having a team where everyone contributes. Very pleased, when you have bowlers like Rashid it makes the captain's job easy. (On if the senior players bully him) Everyone is very nice to me.

- GT have now won six out of seven games against RR.
- The last time RR were bowled out in an IPL innings was against RCB in Jaipur in 2023 - 59 in 10.3 overs - the third-lowest all-out total in IPL history. That remains their biggest ever IPL defeat (by 112 runs).
Prasidh Krishna: The work we put in as a team is showing. Credit goes to the whole team. We are picking wickets and it becomes easier for me. Lovely team effort. There was some extra bounce in the wicket and why not (when asked if he enjoyed tickling the ribcage), but I mixed it up by going fuller and shorter. It is to do with the pitch, our motto as a team is to be adaptable and read the pitch early, the communication is there throughout the game. Honestly it does not feel like somebody (Rashid Khan) is not picking the wickets or doing a job, T20 has become such a game where you need not have a great over but one ball is enough, all in all the bowlers are doing well and it is starting to show in the wickets column. We were lucky that there was no dew, we played a couple of practice games and it was on and off, I don't know what brings the dew.
Sanju Samson | RR captain: Around 15-20 runs too many in the bowling. Whenever we wanted to carry the momentum we lost wickets, when me and Hetmyer were batting it was still chaseable but my wicket changed the game. There was some purchase, the way Jofra bowled and picked Gill's wicket.. But the way we bowled at the death, we need to look at it in the meeting tomorrow and come back better. When you lose games we also think should we have chased or batted first, we were expecting these conditions, this was a really good wicket, we want to respect the conditions and want to be a team who can win games while chasing.
23:26 Local Time, 17:56 GMT, 23:26 IST: Three consecutive games where 200+ scores have been successfully defended now. A sense of normalcy returning to the IPL. This was a clinical performance from the hosts, they made the most of the early movement and got rid of Nitish Rana and Jaiswal. Riyan Parag sizzled with a couple of sixes, while Samson was finding his groove as well. However, impact sub Khejroliya got rid of Parag, and Jurel was out cheaply as well. Rashid Khan was back near his best as he troubled the batters with his nippy leg breaks and googlies. He ended up picking two wickets, making this GT bowling line-up even more intimidating. Shimron Hetmyer fought hard from one end after Samson was out a few shy of his fifty, but the asking rate was always too much. Prasidh Krishna returned to pick up two wickets, getting rid of Hetmyer as well. A comfortable win for Gujarat in the end who have now won four on the trot. Stick around for the presentations.
