The Board of Control for Cricket in India has appointed Rajeev Shukla and Ashish Shellar as its representatives to the Asian Cricket Council. Shukla, who has served in various capacities on the Indian board including as the IPL chairman, will represent BCCI as an Executive Member on the ACC board.

Shellar, who has served in the Mumbai Cricket Association and also as the treasurer of the BCCI, will serve as the Ex-Officio Board Member. The vacancies were created following Jay Shah's elevation as the Chair of the ICC.
On the ACC board's immediate agenda will be the conduct and the organisation of the Asia Cup, tentatively scheduled to be held in September this year in the T20 format. As first reported by Cricbuzz, the ACC has decided that it will be conducted in a neutral country even as BCCI will remain the designated hosts. This is in keeping with the India-Pakistan dynamics. The ACC officials are believed to be vacillating between Sri Lanka and the UAE for the venue of the tournament.
There are four Asia Cups in the current cycle ending in 2031. After the 2025 edition (19 games), the 2027 edition will be held in Bangladesh (13 games) in the ODI format, followed by one in the T20 format (19 games) with the PCB as the host but played in a neutral country. Finally, the 2031 edition, in the ODI format (13 games), will be held in Sri Lanka.
