Profile
Born on November 20, 1996, Usman Ghani is a young right-handed opening batsman for Afghanistan. In 2014, he was part of the Afghanistan Under-19 team that defeated Australia and Sri Lanka in the Under-19 World Cup, paving the way for his selection for the 2015 World Cup as well.

One of the most exciting young cricketers from the country, Ghani was just 17 when he made his ODI debut during the 2014 Asian Cricket Council Premier League, against Hong Kong in Kuala Lumpur. He was the highest run-scorer of the tournament with 228 runs at an average of 45.60.

He scored a century against Zimbabwe in July 2014, becoming one of the two centurions for Afghanistan in the year 2014. However, his century went in vain as Sikandar Raza's 141 helped Zimbabwe beat Afghanistan by eight wickets in that game. He made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe on October 26, 2015.
