Profile
South Africa is never known to be a land of spinners but Vincent can argue with that statement. A left-arm spinner and more than useful lower-order batsman, Vincent played 25 Tests between 1927-1935. As is the case with most spinners, Vincent was well known for bowling long spells.

He has picked up 84 Test wickets, his best bowling performance was against England at Headingley in 1935 where he finished with figures of 8/149, he also scalped 6/51 at Durban against the same opposition in 1930-31. After his retirement, he was named as the chairman of the South African selectors.
