That's all from us here. Hope you enjoyed the coverage. Until next time, it's a goodbye from Sagar Chawla on behalf of Venky, Vinod Kumar, Pradeep Krishnamurthy and Saurabh Sankar.
SRH smashed a mammoth 286 in their opening fixture but since then their batting has misfired, particularly in the last couple of games where their ultra-aggressive approach hasn't worked on pitches with something in it for the bowlers. Today's target might've been out of reach in any case after a blistering knock from Venkatesh Iyer gave his bowling attack a formidable score to defend. The ball was holding a touch and SRH fell apart in no time. KKR didn't even need Moeen Ali with the ball. Rahane's team will probably hope for similar conditions when they welcome the Lucknow Super Giants in their next fixture. As for the Sunrisers, they'll breathe a sigh of relief as they go back to Hyderabad and face Gujarat Titans.
Vaibhav Arora | POTM: I keep myself prepared to come in as the impact sub. I assess what the pitch is doing from outside, whether there's swing, whether the ball is holding. Yorkers and cutters are important in the fifth-sixth over as the ball doesn't swing by then. We plan for different batters in our meetings depending on who the batter is, whether he is likely to give the charge.
Rahane | KKR captain: This game was really important for us. WInning by big margin was crucial. Even we wanted to bowl on this wicket. When we lost two early wickets, wanted to consolidate till 6 overs - play with intent but play cricketing shots. And then when we have wickets in hand, guys down the order can get as many runs as possible. Happy with the batting unit. Last two games were not upto the mark for us. But we learned a lot from our mistakes. This is a great example for us as a batting unit. Rinku and Venkatesh - those guys can play brilliant shots. Ramandeep was sitting in the dugout, Dre was sitting and Moeen was also ready. It was about playing normal till 15 overs and take it on. Initially we thought 170-180 in the surface would be good. Slower balls were gripping. We had three quality spinners. Moeen, unfortunately, couldn't bowl tonight. Sunny and Varun bowled really well. Credit goes to Vaibhav and Harshit as well.

Varun Chakaravarthy - It was a very good innings by Angkrish, the way Venky took it deep and Rinku finished it. I thought we were 10 over par and I felt we could defend this. Vaibhav was outstanding, all the wickets he took were important and I was pleased for him. He was captaining us for the first time (on Rahane), he hasn't played a lot with us and he was on the mark today, we didn't want to leave it to the other bowlers, take it deep and leave it to Russell in the end, he's our best death bowler. We can't take anything for granted when Klaasen is in the middle, he's probably the best batter in this format. Last two days were tough for us, we were badly defeated in the last game, so the talk was to go go and stay out on the pitch, accumulate runs and then score quickly at the end. You can' take anything for granted, you could bowl well today and go for runs in the next game, just do your practice, hit the gym and go about the work. It was the perfect game for us today, we need to keep building on this, the first 4 games, every team take their time to analyse things.
Pat Cummins: Not a great time. I think this was gettable, pretty good wicket. Left too many in the field and then fell well short in the end. We need to be realistic, three games in a row it hasn’t come off for us. We need to maybe look back at whether we could have chosen better options. Our batters are best when they take the game on, but looking back maybe we could have taken different options. (On what went wrong) It was mainly our fielding, overall bowling wasn’t bad. We should have taken a few catches and stopped them a bit earlier. (On Adam Zampa not playing) We only bowled 3 overs of spin, the ball wasn’t gripping for us too. So opted to go without him. (On how he will deal with this loss) I will probably address it on whether we could have used different options, but don’t want to dwell too much on it. We go back to a venue we know so well now.
22:56 Local Time, 17:26 GMT, 22:56 IST: KKR bounce back in style from their drubbing at Wankhede as they blow SRH away by 80 runs. A lot of talk recently has been about how the pitch isn't favouring the home team at some venues. Today, though, KKR got the conditions to their liking with the ball holding in the surface and helping their attack. 201 was a huge target to chase down on this pitch and SRH were never really in it as their top-order was blown away in a matter of minutes with impact sub Vaibhav Arora making a huge, well, impact. Kamindu Mendis on debut and Heinrich Klaasen played some good shots but were dismissed before they could pose any significant challenge. This is the third loss in a row now for Sunrisers and second consecutive game where their batting has collapsed. Stay tuned, we'll have the presentations shortly.
