That was just sensational from Sophie Ecclestone with both bat and ball! RCB and their fans will take a while to process everything that happened and how the game slipped away. That's all we have from a thrilling night at the Chinnaswamy. Until next time, it's a goodbye from Sagar Chawla on behalf of Praveen Kumar and Nikhil Jadhav.
Sophie Ecclestone | Player of the Match: It was an amazing game. I never get nervous to bowl, that was the first time I was nervous (while bowling the super over.) It was a massive team effort, so well done to us. I was quite fuming at that time. It was quite hard, I just had to run. Happy to get the smile on our face. Hopefully we get three from three here. Everyone was great, it was a great team effort.
Deepti Sharma | UP Warriorz captain: I am trying to control my nerves, especially in such games. What a game of cricket it was. This was possible because of Sophie's batting. We played positive cricket as a batting unit. Haven't had the time to have a word with her. Just tried to back Sophie and she showed her character today. She is a world-class bowler. We aren't playing according to the venue. We want to play our best cricket as a unit. We will celebrate soon, after going back to the hotel.
Stats by Shashikant Singh
-> First win for UPW against RCB after losing three consecutive WPL games. Though UPW won the first H2H clash.
-> 17 runs scored by UPW in 20th over is the second most runs scored to successfully win/tied a WPL game after 19 runs target scored with one ball to spare by UPW against GG at DY Patil in 2023.
-> 33 runs by Sophie Ecclestone is the most by a batter batting at No.9 or lower in the WPL.
Jon Lewis | UP Warriorz coach: It was a fun game to watch, was a great day to watch such a game. Sophie can strike the ball really well. I don't think they bowled particularly well to her. The way she executed her bowling, shows her class. She is an extremely valuable player for us, performs week in and week out. We need to keep going. Can't keep calm, that's the way we are going to play. Need to pick up a couple of more games. I think we are backing our Indian players, they need to perform under pressure. I want the middle-order to get a few more runs, they need to rotate the strike better, that will help us to be consistent.
Smriti Mandhana | RCB captain: It was disappointing, we did a lot of things right in the batting innings and bowling innings. These things happen in cricket, we will take it and come back stronger. I have been positive in this tournament. Will work on a few things and come back stronger. Went into a shell today. It's always good to have an all-rounder like her, she (Perry) is one of the greatest in Women's cricket. Her bowling is very crucial for us. All the bowlers bowled extremely well, such things happen in cricket. We take a lot of pride in it, we will take it in our stride and move forward.
23:30 Local Time, 18:00 GMT, 23:30 IST: UP Warriorz seemed done and dusted with the bat in normal time. They needed 41 off the last three overs with just two wickets in hand. But Sophie Ecclestone played an absolute blinder to take the game into a Super Over. If that wasn't enough, she then turned up to bowl the Super Over and managed to defend a score of 8. It's a performance that's going to go down as one of the finest in WPL history. To pull off a heist is one thing, but she pulled off a couple of them in a matter of minutes to stun the home crowd.
Ball 6: Ecclestone to Mandhana, 1 run, Ecclestone has done it for UP Warriors with both the bat and ball! What a performance from the No.1 bowler in the world! Low full toss on the pads, Mandhana swipes across the line and hits it on the bounce to deep backward square. UP Warriors are overjoyed as they charge towards Ecclestone to celebrate
Ball 5: Ecclestone to Ghosh, 1 run, RCB now need a six off the final ball! Ghosh advances down the pitch expecting Ecclestone to aim for the yorker again. She turns it into a full toss but fails to clear the ropes. Mistimes it on the bounce to long-on. 3/0
Ball 4: Ecclestone to Mandhana, 1 run, Ecclestone is giving nothing away here. Fired in full, Mandhana can't get under it as she hammers it on the bounce to long-on. 2/0!
Ball 3: Ecclestone to Mandhana, no run, Mandhana had almost made her way to the dugout but ball-tracking shows it's pitching outside leg. Very full on leg stump from around the wicket, she shuffles across to flick it away but misses it completely. Has it pitched in line? That's the only question here. Technology shows it's pitching just outside leg. 1/0!
Mandhana is given out LBW and goes for the review!
Ball 2: Ecclestone to Ghosh, 1 run, fired in full on middle, Ghosh clobbers it down the pitch and it smashes the stumps at the bowler's end. Unlucky to be denied a possible boundary. 1/0!
Ball 1: Ecclestone to Ghosh, no run, darted in on middle, back of a length, Ghosh hangs back and punches to cover. 0/0!
RCB will be delighted with that over from Garth. They just need 9 to win in the Super Over to bag the two points. UP Warriorz coach and captain are having a chat with Sophie Ecclestone who looks likely to bowl for them. Richa Ghosh and Smriti Mandhana have walked out to the middle for RCB. Ecclestone from over the wicket to Ghosh.
Ball 6: Garth to Harris, 1 run, take a bow, Kim Garth! Full and wide outside off, Harris can't get under it as the length is very full. She only manages a single as she drives to long-off. UP Warriorz have to settle for just 8 runs off the over
Ball 6: Garth to Harris, wide, way too wide outside off this time, Harris lets it go. 7/1!
Ball 5: Garth to Ecclestone, 1 run, slower ball wide of off, dips in the blockhole and Ecclestone can't do much with this one either. She steps across the stumps and squeezes it down to long-off. 6/1!
