"It was kind of him to visit Rajkot. He spent two days with our bowlers and coaches, and I sincerely thank him for taking the time and making such a thoughtful gesture," said Jaydev Shah, president of the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA), to Cricbuzz.
McGrath led the training sessions on March 24 and 25. According to Shah, the goal was to expose the bowlers to world-class and modern techniques. The two-day camp saw participation from bowlers across all age groups, including Under-19, Under-23, and Ranji Trophy players. More importantly, the camp was also attended by the state's coaches, physios, and trainers.
McGrath (55) represented Australia in 124 Tests and 250 ODIs besides two T20Is. He has a long term contract with the MRF Pace Foundation. The camp was held at Niranjan Shah Stadium in the Saurashtra city.
