It's been a long time coming, but finally come it did! Dale Steyn went atop the Test wicket-takers list for South Africa, overtaking Shaun Pollock by getting rid of Fakhar Zaman in the first Test against Pakistan in Centurion.

It was the Christmas present many South African have been despairingly waiting for for the past two years. Steyn had Zaman caught at gully - by Dean Elgar - and was soon engulfed by his teammates. His new ball partner in the Test - Kagiso Rabada hoisted the pacer on his shoulder as Pollock raised his thumbs towards Steyn from the commentary box.

It also led to a host of South African players - past and present - and many celebrities to laud the right-armer on twitter, with Pollock leading the way with a heartfelt letter.
