Mitchell Starc struck in the first over when he had Manan Vohra caught by David Wiese at cover.

Harshal Patel then removed Murali Vijay to further push KXIP on the back foot.

Sreenath Aravind, who replaced Iqbal Abdulla for this match, took four wickets in no time to dash whatever remote hopes KXIP might have had.

Starc returned to take another three wickets in the blink of an eye. The Aussie returned 4 for 15 as RCB bowled out KXIP for 88 in 13.4 overs.

Axar Patel was the only KXIP batsman who held his head high, scoring an unbeaten 21-ball 40.
